One of the most famous names from the pioneering days of Grand Prix motorcycle racing is back, unveiling a range of small capacity models.
Mondial, or FB Mondial to give it its full name, won five rider world championship between 1949 and 1957, before going the way of so many Italian brands.
Now under new owners, the revived Mondial has got a range of 125s in production, with the snappily named Hipster joining the Supermoto and Enduro models revealed recently.
All three bikes share the same twin cam, four valve 125cc motor that develops bang on the A1 licence limit of 11kW (14.75bhp). As the name suggests, the hipster is a modern retro but has a fusion of café racer and scrambler elements in its styling, with dual sport rubber on wire wheels and twin old school off-road style twin exhausts offset by modern inverted forks, café racer style single seat and a funky belly pan.
