1968 TRIUMPH BONNEVILLE T120R US Export Spec in HiFi Scarlet over Silver. A truly stunning example from the Zimmerman Brothers Collection and Fully restored by Bill Hoard. Bill Hoard of Martin, Michigan, is the famous restorer of many Triumphs in the Zimmerman Brothers Collection. He is considered to be one of the best bike restorers in the world. Hoard’s work is featured in many Triumph collections in the USA. Most collectors agree that his work has set the benchmark restoration standards for Triumphs for more than 25 years. Bill has recently retired and this may be a rare chance to acquire one of his stunning restorations. You will not find a more factory correct restoration, the bike is as it rolled out of the factory in Meriden in 1968. Three major improvements were made for the 1968 models - All Bonnevilles were now fitted with twin Amal Concentric carburettors - replacing the Monoblocs fitted previously, a new superb 8-inch twin-leading-shoe front drum brake replaced the single leading shoe brake plate and redesigned fork internals offered improved damping . However - 1968 also marked the beginning of what is often referred to as Triumph’s “sweet spot”: 1968-70. The “Bonnie” had truly reached its zenith and at a time when its looks, handling and performance were considered world-class. Triumphs from this era are regarded as the finest machines that the factory ever produced. This machine is being sold as a collector’s item, part of a stunning private collection of Vintage and Classic machines that have all been dry stored for several of years and will require recommissioning prior to use. Please note that historical classic vehicles are sold as an investment opportunity and are not supplied under the same terms and conditions as a modern day running motorcycle. For more information regarding this machine please contact Ian Cunningham on 07415 871 189 or ian.cunningham@handh.co.uk This machine and 30 other classic bikes from the late Keith Mason's private collection will be sold by auction at the H and H Classic Auction held at the National Motorcycle Museum on Wednesday the 25th March 2026
