1971 BSA ROCKET III - FULLY RESTORED with MATCHING NUMBERS Here we have a truly stunning BSA Rocket 3 mk2 . This bike has undergone a complete nut and bolt restoration from a local collector and comes with matching numbers. The engine and paintwork are exceptional with a minimum of new parts fitted and the original parts lovingly reconditioned to keep this machine as original as possible. The bike also comes with a statement of authenticity confirming build date and matching frame and engine numbers. The bike has been tastefully restored and is in stunning condition and would fit into any collection. In late 1970 BSA unveiled a revised version of the mighty Rocket 3. Although the frame remained largely as before the angular, the heavy set Ogle Design styling of the first series gave way to a lighter, leaner more elegant and traditional style with a new smaller tank, revised mudguards and simpler side panels complimented by tapered megaphone type silencers, slimline front forks bereft of gaiters and shock absorbers with exposed springs. The groups new 8" twin leading shoe conical front brake and hub was adopted and the front tyre size now mirrored that of the rear. Both using 19" spoked rims. This machine is being sold as a collector’s item, part of a stunning private collection of Vintage and Classic machines that have all been dry stored for several of years and will require recommissioning prior to use. Please note that historical classic vehicles are sold as an investment opportunity and are not supplied under the same terms and conditions as a modern day running motorcycle.
