Important news also with regard to tyres: Imperiale 400 MY offers 19 "front and 18" rear wheels which now mount Maxxis Promaxx 100/90 tyres at the front and 130/80 at the rear, capable of guaranteeing maximum reliability on the road in any condition, even in the wet.

The beating heart of the Imperiale 400 is the new single-cylinder, four-stroke, air-cooled engine, now updated for Euro5, with a single overhead camshaft timing system and electronic fuel injection offering maximum fuel economy in any riding conditions. Its maximum power is 21 hp (15.5 kW) at 5500 rpm, with torque of 29 Nm (2.95 kgm) at 4500 rpm. The engine, in the Euro 5 version, has maintained the same configuration as the previous version but has undergone updates in the intake and exhaust system to meet the requirements of the new regulation. Also in this engine the secondary air system has been introduced which reduces the emissions in the starting phase and consequently the calibration of the new ECU DELPHI MT05.3 has been optimized enabling the same performance of the previous version, whilst also significantly reducing fuel consumption (3.1 l / 100 km).

Extremely easy to ride and handle, the Imperiale 400 has a compact and durable double cradle frame made of steel tubes and plates. The front suspension features a telescopic fork with legs having a 41 mm diameter and 121 mm travel, while the rear has a swinging arm with double shock absorber and travel of 55 mm. The design of the exhaust and the chrome inserts accentuate the vintage style of this new Benelli motorcycle, reinforced by the round front headlight – typically retro – and the teardrop tank, which bring out the motorcycle's true essence.

The effective and balanced braking system of the Imperiale 400 features dual channel ABS with a 300 mm diameter disc on the front with two-piston floating calliper and a 240 mm disc with single-piston floating calliper at the rear, thus ensuring full control of the bike. The aluminium alloy rims have different diameters: 19" on the front end, 18" on the back, respectively mounting 100/90 and 130/80 tyres.

Imperiale 400 is offered in Red, Black and Silver.
