The quintessential 60’s cafe racer brought to life by Royal Enfield. The Continental GT 650 oozes charm, character and heritage from every angle, with its drop down clip on bars, bump stop seat and its air-cooled parallel 650 twin engine delivering an awesome sound track. With torque and power across the rev range, the Continental is the bike for every occasion with its heritage looks, modern purposeful engine and sublime handling. Retaining the classic horizontal split running right through, the motorcycle's engine is elegantly cut off from the new bodywork with a dual cradle frame. The distinctive sculpted tank, clip-on handlebars and classic-styled instruments give the motorcycle's cockpit an authentic café racer vibe. Rear-set footrests and upswept exhausts allow for better lean angles – a café racer requisite for pulling off ton-ups. Just like in 60s London.

The design and development team applied its many years of accumulated know-how while setting key parameters like steering rake, ground clearance, and lean angle, to create the perfect ride for this sports inspired cafe-racer. Drawing inspiration from the café racer culture of 1950s and 60s, the new Continental GT 650 Twin recaptures the spirit of our original Continental GT 250. A design icon, the perfect blend of tradition & modernity, with its sculpted tank, eager attitude and a tucked-in riding position, all hallmarks of a traditional café racer, is perfect for carving up the back roads or a ton of fun in the city.

The frame, developed in conjunction with the legendary Harris Performance, thoroughly tested for durability, offers superior balance and handling. Together with the finely tuned suspension with ‘piggy-back’ gas-charged twin shocks for optimum blend of comfort & feel, the chassis ensures the GT 650 is a dynamic ride, lively and agile scratching through those back-lanes.

The new GT650 echoes its predecessors’ style, but it’s a whole new motorcycle. Its ergonomics offers an easy reach to the clip-on bars, for an optimum mix of steering feel and comfort. The rear-set footrests improve cornering clearance, canting the rider forward, into a sporty ‘at-one’ feeling with the GT, making it fun on a quick spin or scratching down their favourite local roads.

Added practicality of 18" cast alloy wheels are shod with tubeless Pirelli Phantonm / CEAT tyres, the structure and the compound of which were especially developed for Royal Enfield to complement the chassis and suspension in all riding conditions. The combination of twin-piston Brembo derived callipers on floating front disc and Bosch dual-channel ABS provide assured braking with progressive feedback. The engine and exhausts are finished in a tough, durable satin black powder coated finish for ease of cleaning and are ideal for daily riding - requiring less cleaning than polished aluminium or chrome.
